We are committed to providing the most up to date careers guidance for our students, which also means having an up to date working knowledge of all local colleges and independent training providers. Yesterday, Duchy College hosted a Teacher Experience Day and Mrs Eglinton and Mrs Waterfield were able to go along and see all of the courses on offer.
From Progression Pathways in independence and vocational skills to equine studies, horticulture, land-based engineering, military and uniformed public services, outdoor education and small animal care there are courses suited to all interests and we were lucky enough to try drill practice with the MAPS students and work on team-building with the Outdoor Ed students. We also got a chance to visit Future Farm and see how technology is changing the face of modern farming.
Thank you, Duchy College, for such an engaging day! We are hoping to arrange a visit for Key Stage 4 students later in the year.
