Getting Active – A Session for Care-Experienced Young People

drogers70

We’re inviting care-experienced children and young people aged 11-25 to join us for an exciting online session exploring the world of sport, movement, and physical activity.

Whether you love sports, dance, yoga, or just like to chill, this session is for everyone, no matter your experience or ability.

Together, we’ll chat about:

  • What you enjoy (or don’t enjoy) about sports and exercise

  • What makes it easier or harder for you to get involved in physical activity

  • What could change to help more care-experienced young people take part

We’re looking for honest views and real experiences. You don’t have to be sporty, just come as you are and share your thoughts.

Sign-up details:

Date: Wednesday 9 April Time: 6:00 – 8:00pm

Who can attend?

This session is just for care-experienced young people aged 11-25.

Professionals are welcome only if they’re there to support a young person’s participation. You can join as a group, on separate devices, or however works best for you.

Why does this matter? Your voice will help us create a brand-new online guide for local authorities. It’ll be full of tips and ideas to make sports and physical activity more accessible for young people in care.

More info coming soon We’ll be sharing a session plan and resources shortly for any groups who want to take part together.

If you’ve got any questions, feel free to get in touch at ANV@coramvoice.org.uk.

Watch this space...This event is all about hearing directly from young people. But soon, we’ll also be hosting a separate session for professionals and adults working with care-experienced young people, to hear about what’s happening in different areas. Details of that are coming soon – so keep an eye out!
