Today a small group of students attended an art therapy session at Pigment Organic Dye in Ashburton.

Over the six weeks, students will learn about natural dyes and the dying process using a variety of techniques. Today students planted out some madder seedlings which will eventually produce a beautiful red pigment before making some planters made from paper which they planted sunflower seedlings into.

Next week students will be bundle dying tote bags using plant based pigments.
